Photography Group
The TFN’s Photography group is open to photographers of all skill levels and covers various types of nature photography. We share photos and tips for better photography, but we also seek to promote the values of TFN by fostering and promoting the practices of ethical nature photography.
Each month we have a Photo Challenge to encourage members to get out and enjoy nature. Photo Challenge entries are shared at our monthly Zoom meeting, where newer photographers can ask for feedback on improving their images.
We also have dedicated photography walks, which are conducive to photography in both their pace and start times.

Photo Evaluation Subgroup
Our Photo Evaluation Subgroup is for those TFN members with an avid interest in improving their nature photography skills by evaluating members’ photographs (and receiving feedback on their own photos) using criteria adapted from the Ontario Council of Camera Clubs (O3C) in a non-competitive (non-scoring) environment.
Members can be of any skill level but must commit to regular attendance and participating fully in image submission and review.
Meetings occur by Zoom on the third Saturday of the month from 4-5 p.m. Each member submits one of their nature photos via Google Drive in advance of the Zoom meeting. During the meeting, members take turns providing feedback (positive attributes and constructive feedback for improvement in capture and/or editing) using the O3C criteria.
