Join us on Thursday, December 26th at 10:00 am for a 3-hr, 8 km, circular, nature walk on mostly paved surfaces, flat with some gentle slopes. No stairs.

Meeting Point: Tommy Thompson Park entrance at the foot of Leslie Street by the washrooms.
Getting There: TTC: Take Line 2 to Donlands station, then take #83 Jones southbound bus and get off at Leslie Street and Commissioners; walk south to the park entrance. Driving: There’s a free parking lot off Unwin Ave.
Walk Details: A 3-hr, 8 km, circular, nature walk on mostly paved surfaces, flat with some gentle slopes. No stairs.
Accessibility: The unpaved section of the walk can be uneven and muddy.
Washrooms: At the beginning, along the way, and at the end.
Walk description: The perfect remedy for post-Christmas Day lethargy!
Starting at the pavilion at the entrance (heated washrooms!), we will walk south along the east shoreline as far as Cell 3, then return via the banding station (now closed) and Embayment D. Participants can drop out and return easily at any point if they so wish.
Brush up on your waterfowl identification skills, something interesting always turns up on these walks.
What to Bring: Binoculars.
Other information: The Spit can get quite windy, and it is the end of December, so wrap up. Dress for the weather, including appropriate shoes!
