Public Walk – Subway Series: Chester to Broadview, Tree Bingo

Join us on Saturday, June 7th at 10:00 AM for a 2.5-hour, 6 km linear nature and heritage walk along mostly paved flat surfaces with some gentle slopes. No stairs.

Walk Location: Riverdale

Meeting Point: Outside the entrance to the Chester Subway Station on the west side of Chester Avenue north of Danforth Avenue

Getting There: Easy access by subway, parking nearby

Walk Details: 2.5 hour, 6 km linear nature and heritage walk along mostly paved flat surfaces with some gentle slopes. No stairs.

Accessibility: We may be on grass in some areas.

Washrooms: At the beginning, along the way, and at the end

Walk description: TREE BINGO is a fun game that blends a bit of science with interesting and unusual facts about some of Toronto’s trees. Go exploring to see how many of these common species can be found as we walk through Riverdale!

What to Bring: Field guide to trees, binoculars. A cell phone with a plant identification app will be useful.

Other information: No pets please. Service animals are welcome.
