March Lecture: Ticks in Ontario

Join us on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 at 2:30 pm for our March lecture: Ticks in Ontario with Dr. Andrew Peregrine, who is a veterinarian and clinical parasitologist at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph.

Learn about Lyme disease and how to prevent it.

This lecture will review the ticks that can be found on dogs and people in Ontario, and how to identify the tick responsible for Lyme disease. Data will be presented that indicate how the risk of Lyme disease is changing across Ontario and what will likely happen in the future. Strategies to reduce the risk of infection in both dogs and people will also be discussed.
