TFN is honoured to partner with the Royal Ontario Museum, TRCA, Toronto Zoo, Rouge Park and the Toronto Ornithological Club for City Nature Challenge, April 24-27! This initiative celebrates urban nature & biodiversity by engaging cities around the world in a friendly competition to see who can make the most observations of nature, find the most species, and enlist the most people in a single weekend. Over just days, hundreds of thousands of photographs of unique plants and animals will be submitted to iNaturalist, a digital flood of precious creatures great and small from every corner of the planet!
All TFN members are encouraged to participate – let’s do Toronto, and nature, proud! To help our members gear up, folks from the ROM’s Schad Gallery of Biodiversity will be delivering a short workshop & demonstration at the end of our April 5th lecture. Additional information on City Nature Challenge will be posted on this site shortly thereafter. In the meanwhile, here are a few links to whet your appetite!
