Public Walk – Sunnybrook Park Friday Walk

Join us on Friday, May 1 at 1:00 pm for a 1.5-hour, 2.5-kilometer circular bird, insect, and plant walk.

Location: TTC Line 5 Eglinton LRT, located at Eglinton Avenue East and Leslie Street.

Description: Come walk along Wilket Creek to see the birds returning from the south and the trees budding and leafing out.

Details: A 1.5-hour, 2.5-kilometer circular bird, insect, and plant walk over mostly paved and flat surfaces. No stairs.

Meeting Spot: Northwest corner of Eglinton East and Leslie

Getting There: TTC or park car at North West Leslie/Eglinton lot

Accessibility: No restrictions

Washrooms: At the beginning and end

Toronto Field Naturalists wishes to acknowledge this Land through which we walk. For thousands of years, the Land has been shared by the Wendat, the Haudenosaunee, and the Anishinaabe. Toronto is situated on the Land within the Toronto Purchase, Treaty 13, the traditional and treaty Lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. This territory is also part of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum, a covenant agreement between Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, Wendat peoples and allied nations to peaceably share the land and all its resources.
