TFN offers Scholarships to GTA Youth to Attend 2021 Youth Summit for Mother Earth

TFN is again sponsoring students in the GTA to attend 2021 Youth Summit for Mother Earth!

The Summit will be held as a series of online and offline events, with key events happening on September 25 and 26, 2021 with a follow-up virtual event in October.

This Summit will bring together about 200 youth from communities across Ontario, helping them to build leadership skills and environmental knowledge. Participants will participate in workshops and seminars. They will become partners of a peer network of young environmental leaders who provide support and guidance for conservation action and advancing reconciliation across the province.

TFN is proud to be offering twelve sponsorship opportunities for youths to attend, fully covering the $150 fee. If you are a high school student in the GTA who is passionate about nature and the environment, or know someone who is, please download the form below to apply for sponsorship! Toronto Field Naturalists wishes to acknowledge this Land through which we walk. For thousands of years, the Land has been shared by the Wendat, the Haudenosaunee, and the Anishinaabe. Toronto is situated on the Land within the Toronto Purchase, Treaty 13, the traditional and treaty Lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. This territory is also part of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum, a covenant agreement between Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, Wendat peoples and allied nations to peaceably share the land and all its resources. Today, the Land is home to peoples of numerous nations. We are all grateful to have the opportunity to continue to care for and share the beauty of this Land.
